It's more or less impossible for anyone other than Ken Akamatsu to write like that. But I agree that it's ridiculously rushed, it seems they skipped a lot of the plot... At least they didn't do like Pandora Hearts, Shakugan no Shana or Canaan and just throw in a random ending, it actually had a real end. I wouldn’t really compare it to Negima, at least not the Manga. Just think it alernatif of Negima or Harry Potter. But suddenly in somewhere near episode 9, I didn't understand a thing. Looks like the scenario writer rushed the story in doing so would ended in episode 13. But as result, I got more confused with this rush paced story. I knew this series is adapted from light novel, so IMO it was unwise to pack a lot of chapter into 12 episode anime.
